DAY CREAMS

During the day, the skin is exposed to a number of factors that damage its condition. It is not only environmental pollutants that have a detrimental effect on it, but also temperature changes and harsh weather conditions. Day creams are cosmetics designed to protect the skin, support its natural processes and prevent premature ageing.

Why use day creams?

Day creams are a key part of daily skin care. With their protective, moisturising and nourishing properties, they keep the skin smooth and radiant. Their primary task is to maintain proper hydration, which is key to the good condition any skin, regardless of its type. Day creams also tend to have additional effects, focused on a specific skin problem. For example, they can firm, smooth, brighten, reduce the appearance of pores or dilated capillaries, and protect against smog or UV radiation.

Day creams – which to choose?

The primary selection criteria should always be the condition of our skin. Day creams can be tailored to a specific age. However, it is worth remembering that biological age does not always go hand in hand with skin condition. So if you feel that your skin needs a much stronger action than your age suggests, focus first and foremost on the properties of the cream. Regardless of their main action, day creams should provide effective protection against UV rays. You can choose a cream that already contains sunscreen or apply an additional SPF.

How to apply day creams?

Day creams are the most popular skincare products, but even so, they aren't always used correctly. Before applying the cream, wash your face with a mild cleanser to cleanse and prepare your skin.  Wipe your skin with a cotton pad soaked in a moisturising toner. Before the toner dries, apply a serum with moisturising ingredients or any other to enhance your skin care. Apply day creams directly on top of serums and lightly massage the skin to improve absorption. Finally, apply SPF.
